Benica’s Natural Deodorant is a mineral based natural deodorant free from parabens and artificial fragrance. A moisturizing formula made up of essential oils, minerals (zinc and magnesium) that gives you a long lasting effect. The many different options allows you to find a scent that works best with your body.
Description
Benica’s Deodorant Pit Stick is not your normal natural deodorant. When I first started formulating, of course natural deodorant was on the list, but I was never satisfied with the baking soda and oil versions since they often leave you red, irritated, and with oil stained clothes to mention just a few.
Our deodorant is a light roll on, but it is not watery where it rolls all the way down your side.
Odor protection and even some sweat protection happens with minerals instead of baking soda. These are minerals that are generally lacking and lost via sweat anyway. We also use a silver based preservative that adds more antibacterial properties to aid in odor control.
The formula is moisturizing and will not darken armpits as it is also PH adjusted rather than strongly alkaline like baking soda forms are.
The many different options allow you to find which scent works best with your body.
Ingredients:
Distilled Water, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Hemp oil, Organic Shea Butter, emulsifying wax, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Citrate, Essential Oils, Potassium Sorbate, Silver Citrate
Directions:
Apply to clean underarm area in a thick or thin layer to find your preference and level of coverage.
Getting started with a natural deodorant:
When you first make the switch from conventional deodorant your pores may be clogged or your lymph nodes may be holding chemicals that need purged.
You want to clean the underarm area very well with a good natural soap. Then to further help you have a successful switch, you can dilute some Apple Cider Vinegar with water and wipe on the underarm area to help balance the PH of your skin.
It can take several days or even weeks to go through the detox period as your body cleans out the residue left behind from conventional deodorant.
Another step that you can take would be an actual underarm detox using a paste of:
- charcoal and water
- bentonite clay, charcoal and water
- any mix of the above with added apple cider vinegar
This will help speed up the process of cleaning up the residue and helping your body process out the unwanted chemicals.
Many have found switching to our natural deodorant to be a pleasant experience without much inconvenience, but if you feel that you still have some unwanted odor then these steps can help you achieve your goal of going toxin free for your health.
